"but we can try." Jake said. Neil honestly had expected better from his son. He should have put Sadie in her place as soon as they were paired, not let her run away. He couldn't care less about how she felt. She was just a woman after all. Not important, other than that she could have kids. The town was running low on people, especially people who were obedient. To remedy that, they had to have more, healthy babies. It wouldn't help now, but it would in the long run. And to make them listen, he had a plan. | |
