Daryl drove to the beach. Carol had been nice enough to tell him how to get there. There was a small house, seeming to float upon the waves. The stilts were hidden by the bubbling sea foam sitting a top the water. Once you went out onto the deck of the house, you could look down, deep into the clear water and watch the animals. The fish, crabs, small squids, and even ocasionally a baby shark or a manta ray would come up to the house, investigating the stilts before darting off again. In the distance if you looked hard enough, you could see a dolphin jumping and playing. They seemed to be playing tag with the waves, racing them and when one just about touched them, jumping, leaping gracfully over the water. The shore appeared to be lined with shells, from small ordinary ones to large cone shaped ones that shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow. The sand was a shimmering white against the blue sea. Seagulls rode the breeze, letting the wind take them where ever it wanted. Somebody had lived here once, for the beach was fenced in with large fences, much like the ones around the prison, eliminating the risk of walkers. | |

They couldn't compare to the Atlantic side. The shores there were rocky, the waves to big to go to far into the water, and even if you could go out in the water, the land dropped off suddenly. It wasn't a great place to just have fun. And it certainly wasn't as beautiful as here. "This is beautiful." | |
