He said I should be happy that I was alive and my present was not gettin beat to death. Well, I was a smartass back then, and I said that that wasn't no present, so he grabbed me round the throat and tossed me cross the room. My head hit a table and that knocked the lamp off'a it, so he beat me pretty good for breakin the lamp. Ended up with a concussion, broken arm, some cracked ribs, and some deep cuts from Will's belt buckle. Ya see, he liked ta use the metal part of his belt cause it hurt more than the leather part."
