Mary stepped daintily out of her carriage and looked around at all the people gathered to see... Her. She couldn't believe it. Yesterday she had been hidden away at convent, and today she was back at French court. Which, honestly, she wasn't too thrilled about. She longed to be back home in Scotland, but she knew she would probably never be on Scottish soil ever again. She would live here. In France. And rule along side her husband, which other people had picked for her, for the rest of her life. With her head held high and not showing any of her thoughts, she walked over to the royal family of France. Her fiance and his family. She didn't think she was ready to be wed, but she didn't have a choice in the matter. She just hoped he was nice. She hadn't seen him since they were children. -- Colin was in the kitchen. He had heard the queen of Scotland was returning to court, but was not allowed to go watch her arrival. That was only for the "important" people: nobles, rich people, etc. a lowly kitchen boy wouldn't be allowed to attended. Not that he really cared. Many royals came to the castle. She wasn't any different. He didn't understand why one girl queen had so much of an effect on all the people of court. Her arrival was all nearly everyone spoke of. | |
