There was a girl inside it, sitting on the ground as far back as she could from the door. She was clinging desperately to a large kitchen knife. "Stay back." She said, trying to sound threatening, but just sounded terrified. From the look of her, there was a reason for her terror. She had a wound from being shot on her calf, like someone had wanted to take her down but not kill her, and a couple cuts from a knife or another sharp object on her stomach. On the back of her head, which daryl couldn't see, was a large wound, too. That one was from being hit by something pretty hard. -- | |

Jake nodded slowly. He glanced over at the mantle, which had three pictures on it. One was Hannah, smiling brightly; she was about 10 in that photo. Another was of their older brother, who was about 17 in that picture. It had been taken not long before he had been killed. The last one was of Jake. He had a black eye, a cut under the other, and a busted lip. "you didn't do that to him, did you?" She asked daryl, thinking the two were father and son. Or related in some way. | |
