"The world's not a very comfortable place if you have a nightmare to face." - Tommy Lee Jones

Thu-thump! Thu-thump! Thu-thump! Your heart is rushing a million miles an hour as your eyes, wide from terror, scan the surrounding area. It's a cold night, and the breeze brings crisp mapel leaves swirling around your feet. You are standing in the middle of a wide street, facing an old house. The moon gives the already spooky house an extra eerie apperance. The house is obviously abbandoned, and it looks like a soul hasn't been there for ages. The white house is a dark grey in some areas from being chared. Seeing nowhere elce to go, you slowly make your way up to the door. You can feel youself shaking like a terrified chihuahua. As you reach your trembling hand towards the doorknob, the blood red door creaks open, inviting you in. You take a deep breath and take a step into the house. Before you have a chance to look around, the door slams shut, leaving you in complete darkness. Eyes huge, you start to take carefull steps around, looking for a light switch. No such luck. As you turn back to what you think is the inside of the house, you see a light at the end of a narrow hallway, leading to the basement. You stand, still trembeling, debating your options. After a few seconds of weighing the pros and cons, you start to slowly make your way to the light. As you get closer, you start to hear the soft crackling sound that could only mean one thing: fire. You gulp, and take in a deep breath, soon reaching the top of the stairs. Trying to put as little weight on the wooden steps as possible, you start down. Just as you are about to reach the 4th step, you feel the earth give way benith you. You gasp and despratley try to reach the railing as what was a solid step a few moments ago drops you. You fall a few feet, and land with a smash in a pile of scrap metal. You find youself not in just a basement, but also in a boiler room, the lit furnace casting a red glow around the room. You lay there for a few minutes, trying to regain your breath. You stand up, imediantally lifting your left leg off the ground and softly cussing to yourself as a streak of pain shoots up from your foot. As you look around, you see a little girl with blonde hair and brown eyes sitting in the corner, watching you. The tips of her shoulder leghnth hair are crimson red from the blood. You freeze as the girl stands, slowly making her way to you. She stops, about 3 feet away from you, and starts singing. "One, two, Freddys coming for you..." As she slowly sings, you hear the door from above opening. "Three, four, better lock your door." Footsteps sound above you, heading for the trick stairs. "Five, six, grab your cruciafix." The footsteps come down the steps. "Seven, eight, stay up late." The footsteps reach the bottom of the stairs, and you hear evil, deep, rusty laughter echo around the room. "Nine, ten, never sleep again....." Before you have any time to react, a man in an ugly red and green striped sweater, wearing a fedora and badly burnt walks over to the girl. Your eyes fill with terror at this unearthly being. You stand, shaking and frozen, wondering if you should grab the girl when the man lifts his right hand. You see the glove he has on with knifes in all the fingures execpt the thumb. The man shoves his hand into the girl, and you see the blood spray everywhere.

You awake from the terrible dream with a scream. You look around, soaked in sweat and panting hard. As you calm yourself down, you step out of bed. As you put weight on your left foot, you draw in a deep breath, sitting down again. You remember how you got that injury in the dream, and your mind drifts to the girl. You think of what she said. "One two, Freddys coming for you....." That nightmare was horrid, but it was just a dream.

Little do you know, the nightmare has only begun.

"Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid."- Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

"There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing. I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."- Elizabeth Swann and Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

"Curious. Your friends appear to be quite desperate, Jack. Perhaps they no longer believe that a gathering of squabbling pirates can defeat the Flying Dutchman. And so despair leads to betrayal. And you and I are no strangers to betrayal, are we, Jack? [Jack, who has been looking through various containers, stops and glances at a P mark on his arm] [turning to face Jack] It's not here, Jack. What? What isn't? The Heart of Davy Jones is safely aboard the Dutchman, and so unavailable for use as leverage to satisfy your debt to the good Captain. By my reckoning, that debt has been settled. By your death... yet here you are. Close your eyes and pretend it's all a bad dream. That's how I get by."- Lord Cutler Beckett and Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

"Clergyman, on the off chance that this does not go well for me, I would like you to note it-hearing now-that I am fully prepared to believe in whatever I must, and be welcomed into that place where all the "goody-goodies" want to go once they pop their clogs. Savvy? We have a word for that, Jack. You can convert. I was thinking more of an as-needed basis."- Jack Sparrow and Philip Swift, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
