Steve didn't move for a second, confused, but then soon followed Peter's request and took a step back. He didn't know what was going on. He didn't know anything about vampires and this life. He hadn't felt this lost since his sister was shot when he was younger.

Site Owner Posts: 236061 | Peter watched her for a moment, then decided something that he would probably regret. He picked Ginger up, thankfully she was light, and carried her into his panic room. He sat her down inside, walked out, and locked the door behind him. That would hold her- hopefully- when she woke up. "she won't be... Herself... When she wakes up." he explained. Peter didn't want to say how she was going to be different, but he suspected that Steve would get it.

Steve didn't move as Peter went and picked Ginger's limp body off of the ground. His face was stone, no emotions really showing. When Peter came back, he snapped back to reality and nodded slowly, understanding. "I'm sorry... I really am..." He said, and that's all he really did say. Sam rolled his eyes as Laurie kept walking into the forest further and further. He didn't know how much more of this he could take. "Seriously Laurie, what'd you see?" He demanded, his patience growing thin. (Sorry I've had a writers block for a few days now and it's still here)

It's fine. "it's not your fault. I'm sorry for getting you into this." peter replied as he went to a closet and got out a duffel bag. He began putting necessary things inside it. "I've got to get out of here." peter mumbled, mostly to himself, but steve could probably hear him. Not only could vampires freely get into his home, but Jerry knew where he was. He had to leave the city. Possibly the state. There was nothing really for him here, anyway. The only person he liked was steve, but peter was just putting him in danger staying here.

[Hey I have an idea to run past the 2 of you, Should Peter, Steve, Sam, and Laurie all meet? Unless Marie, you have another idea of somewhere Steve's gonna go. But they don't have to meet right away.] -- Sam rolled his eys, "Don't just say, 'Just a moment' and keep walking away..." He muttered to himself. "This isn't funny any more!" He said, his breath fogging up now from the cold of the night. "No it's pretty damn funny don't you think?" Steve watched as Peter hurridley started shoving things into his bag and furrowed his brow at Peter blaming himself, "It's fine, okay? You couldn't have known this was going to happen."

Peter isn't actually leaving, so it's fine with me if they meet up. Peter sighed. "Yeah, but this happened once before. I should have known not to let my guard down." he zipped up the bag and slung it over his shoulder. "ginger's a vampire and who knows what happened to Charlie and Amy. They could be dead because I'm stupid. I just invited someone in that I didn't see."

[Okay sweet it doens't have to be right now but I thought it might be kind of interesting if we did.] -- Steve continued to watch Peter as he finished up with his packing and slung his bag over his shoulder. He had put 2 and 2 together and figured out that that was what was going to happen to Ginger, "You're not stupid, okay?" He said, trying to reason with Peter, "You couldn't have known this was going to happen." Sam kept following her, wondering what was so damn important. What the hell was she following? Probably some trail or something she thought was a trail towards something. Honestly, he gave up trying to understand. He as just there now more as backup.

[Yeah] Lauie walks to a cave. Not like a happy, pretty cave, but one of those caves that sends chills down your spine. The ones that look like something could jump out at any moment.

Totally Peter shook his head. "I should have though. That breed doesn't leave families alone. No one survives. But I did. He was just toying with me. And I let him." he went to the kitchen and grabbed a couple bottles of midori. "have fun with being free. I can't stay here now." he headed towards the door.

[I was thinking that once these 2 small kind of "story arcs" get finished, Laurie looking in the cave and Peter with Jerry, they could all hide out in the bunker possibly? It's packed with weapons and it's a place to stay.] -- Sam followed Laurie as she walked inside of a cave. He dug his small flashlight he kept with him at all times and clicked it on, it's beam shining into the nothingness of the cave. He heard distant laughing coming from the cave and Sam flinched, it startling him a bit. Steve watched and listened as Peter rambled on about something, flustered as he went to the kitchen and grabbed his Midori. He met Peter by the door, "I'm coming with you, okay?"

Okay, sounds good. Peter shook his head. "no. Absolutely not. You have a life here. You don't want to get messed up with this and vampires and everything. Plus, what about your new place to live, eh? You wanna stay there don't you?" that was all true, but he also didn't want steve to be around him to see the inevitable breakdown that was to come. He attempted to get around steve.

Steve stepped in Peter's way, stopping him from going through, knowing that he wasn't being 100% honest with him, "No, you can't change my mind. And really, I don't have a life here. Yeah I'm a cop, so what? I've got a dead end on a case and haven't found that girl's killer. My partner and exboyfriend hates me and makes my life a living hell. I can't even go back to my parents house because I can't believe what my mom did, making sure that my sister's killer didn't get the right punishment. And yeah I have a new place, but I'll eventually come back probably, but I'm not going." Sam continued to follow Laurie, his beam of light crawling up the walls of the cave. It was dark and dingy and there was water running down the sides of the walls. There was moss and other small plants that lived in there, but that was it. He shot his light up towards the ceiling and bats layed at the top, sleeping. They all opened their eyes and came scattering out, Sam not phased by them.

Steve eventually moved out of Peter's way, letting him go. A thought passed through his mind whether or not he should actually follow Peter. He stood there for a second before shaking his head, following Peter quietly. Sam heard a growl come from the depths of the cave and he got uneasy. He didn't know whether it was his imagination or if this was real and it was making him jump at every little thing. Usually things like this wouldn't affect him, but he was especially jumpy lately.

Peter didn't want to use the elivator incase the vampires were there. Sighing, he moved the strap of his duffel bag to the other shoulder. "where do you want to head to now?"
