Sam pulled his gun out of his pocket slowly, looking to see if anyone was around to see. Once he knew the coast was clear, he held it out, and walked towards Laurie, "Laurie! What the hell..." Great now he had Laurie off and being crazy too. "A gun, really? Hey, I have a good idea, why don't you just take that up to your head and empty a few rounds, huh?"

Peter led the two in and told them to sit. He began telling Charlie and Amy about what they were up against; that they should just give up, the vampire was to strong for them to take on. It would take an army to kill just one, and there was no telling how many would be in his tribe.

But part of the way through his "lesson" on vampires there was an interruption: a ringing telephone. Peter answered it; there was a delivery man at the front desk with a package for him. Peter told the security guard to send him up, causing Charlie to pale.

"do you normally get deliveries now?" Charlie asked nervously.

Peter shrugged, not getting why charlie was so freaked. "yes... No... I don't know." he trailed off, starting yo understand, but still somewhat confused.

Charlie cussed. "that was an-"

Then there was another voice at the doorway. "an invitation, airhead."

Sam's hands began to shake, not being able to keep his gun steady. He lowered it a little as he kept following Laurie, "Laurie, this isn't funny! What the hell!" He said louder this time. He didn't even care he was probably attracting a lot of attention at the moment. He heard a branch snap and he whipped around in that direction, but it was nothing.

Steve went over and leaned on the couch, watching as Peter explained something about vampires and how it was too strong. He couldn't wrap his head around any of this when there was a voice behind Peter's door.

Charlie, Amy, and Peter all looked over as a nerdy teenage boy walked in. But he wasn't a normal teen. He was a vampire. Charlie and Amy both seemed to recognize him, and charlie confirmed it when simply asking, "Ed?"

Ed threw a box at peter, who smacked it out of the way. "For a master of darkness, you're not very bright are you?" Ed walked over towards them. "you let him get me, Brewster." he hissed at Charlie. "he turned me into this!"

While Ed was talking to Charlie, Peter snuck towards a stake.

Steve raised an eyebrow kind of confused. Peter was slowly reaching towards a stake and he began to back up, away from Ed and Charlie. He wished he had brought his gun with him, but that was in his holster in his car. Plus, it probably wouldn't have helped much.

Suddenly, Ed pulled a cell phone from his pocket and called someone. It was the head vampire, Jerry. He told Jerry to come up to the penthouse.

Peter broke the glass case the stake was in and ran forward.

Ed laughed. "is that stake just for me?"

Peter narrowed his eyes. "this is lethal to your kind. Don't mock me."

Ed laughed again. "yeah, but you'll have to get pretty close to use that won't you?"

[Marie: Should Steve intervene? haha I dunno what to do.]

Steve jumped a little as he heard glass shattering. He inched towards the door, thinking about the gun still. If he could get away fast enough, he might be able to help more. Or at least try to help. He noticed Charlie and Amy and felt sorry for them. He motioned them to come over and take cover or hide or anything. Just so that they could get out of harms way.

Sam turned back around and had lost sight of Laurie. He could feel sweat beading down his forehead as she called back to him. He followed her voice and soon caught up with her again, "What do you mean, 'I thought I saw something.' I think I see stuff all the time, and it's nothing." He said sadly, thinking about the crap he's put her through with his hallucinations.

If you want to.

Charlie was holding tightly to Amy. "Ed, if you have a problem, keep it with me. They are innocent." he said, wanting to keep Amy safe

Ed laughed. "if? If I have a problem? Yes I have a problem!"

Peter jumped when another vampire walked into the pent house. The new vampire seemed drawn to peter the instant he walked. Finally he said. "well well well. Little Peter Vincent. You've grown up." he made his over to peter and grabbed his throat. "you have your mother's eyes." he then smirked as peter tried to stake him, but missed the heart. "and your father's aim."

Steve eyes grew wide on the realization that this must be the guy who killed Peter's parents. At least Steve knew who had killed his sister, that it had been an accident, but this guy was ridiculous. His eyes were cold and it was someone that Steve would probably be searching for during a case.

Jerry smiled. "I remember when you were just a little boy, hiding under the bed while I took your parents lives. let's see if you fight this time." he released Peter's throat and moved towards Charlie, Amy, and Steve. He stood next to Ed and smiled an evil grin. "which one of you to start with?" he looked around at each, but with his attention on those three, he didn't notice Ginger coming up behind him. She lunged and drove a stake through his back, but she too missed the heart. Jerry spun around and tossed the small women across the room as he cried out in pain. Ed went over to Jerry and yanked out the stake. Jerry ran over to Ginger and without hesitation bit into her throat. She screamed. Peter watched, looking almost ready to cry. He couldn't fight jerry. He couldn't last time, he couldn't this time. Amy and Charlie raced out of the room and into the collection room, followed closely by Ed.

Sam sighed and took another uneasy step forward, "Okay fine, but if I get my sorry ass killed, I know I'll probably come back, you on the other hand..." He said sadly, thinking about how many times he had people think he was dead and he'd come back, either from his brother or other people. Sometimes he just wanted to let go though.

Steve, without thinking, went and tackled Jerry. He wasn't too fond of Ginger, but he wasn't just going to stand there and let her get drained. Peter stood there, almost like he was in shock. He turned back to Jerry who had the stake still stuck in his chest and pulled it out.

Jerry dropped ginger's seemingly lifeless body and went to attack steve. He snarled and bared his fangs, but then calmed himself. He seemed almost like a normal person. "I am sorry to drag you into this. It has nothing to do with you, so why don't you just leave and let me deal with peter." he threw Steve off of himself.

Sam rolled his eyes as he continued to follow Laurie. That's what everyone said, and then they got killed. That's typically how his job worked. Shadey ass forest? Check. Person mindlessly walking into it? Check. Person claims they saw something? Check. "Wow Sammy, you're so organized with your lists and stuff... fancy... To bad that's not how it is in the rest of your grapefruit."

Steve watched as Ginger fell to the ground, unphased. He felt himself being thrown of Jerry, but he quickly got back up. When he was in a state like this, nothing bothered him. It was usually afterwords when everything sunk in. He furrowed his eyebrows, confused at Jerry's sudden normalicy, "I'm sorry... I can't let you do that..." He gripped the stake tightly in his hands as he stared down Jerry.

Jerry grinned, showing his long pointed fangs. "I hate to do this to you, then." he lunged at Steve, pinning him to the ground. He brought his mouth closer and closer to Steve's throat. That is, until there was a scream. Jerry jerked his head back, and like lightning was on his feet and racing into the weapons room to figure out what ha happened. That was Ed's scream.

Peter, now that Jerry was gone, slowly made his way over to ginger. They may not have gotten along, but he had loved her. He shakingly touched her face, near the wounds on her neck, making a small whimpering sound. He couldn't lose her too. Especially not by the same vampire. "come on, Ginger." he said, his voice a whisper. He knew he shouldnt have contacted those children.

Steve released the breath he didn't realise that he was holding and pushed himself up once Jerry had disappeared to the weapons room. He went over to Peter's side next to Ginger. The reality of this all was finally sinking in and he noticed his hands were shaking. It wasn't that he had almost got himself killed, but the fact that vampires were real...

Peter didn't know what to do. Ginger was most likely dead, and if not... Well. That would be even worse. She would become like Jerry and Ed, a vampire. He checked for a pulse. Yep, still there, but just barely. He stood and quietly said, "I'd get away from her if I were you, Steve."

While in the other room, Charlie had gotten an ax and nearly chopped Ed's head off. That was what had caused him to scream. Charlie and Amy ran out of peters home, followed by Ed and jerry.
