Steve noticed Peter tensed when he had hugged him and made a mental note in his head. He turned around and walked down the hallway and took a right into the bedroom and placed his boxes down. He opened the top one up, not looking forward to unpacking. It always took too long and looking at the old pictures he had resurfaced memories he didn’t want to think about. “Um… You can just set stuff out somewhere I guess… or something.” He told Peter, distracted.

Peter nodded and put the boxes on one of the few pieces of funiture in the place- a rather bland table, for his taste at least. He looked around and asked steve, "want me to help you unpack?"

Steve nodded, "Yeah, thanks that'd help a lot." He said, thinking about unpacking old memories he had stuffed away in those boxes. He pulled out the picture he had found earlier of him and Claudia and placed it on the nightstand next to the bed.

Peter thought for a moment then said, "could we put it on hold for a few minutes? I'd like to change out of what's left of me costume."

Steve nodded as he pulled out a necklace that had one of Claudia’s guitar picks on it and strung it around his neck. He had forgotten about this, “Yeah that’s fine.” He looked at Peter and just now noticed that he hadn’t fully gotten out of his costume.

Peter nodded and headed to the door. "I'll be back in a minute." he walked to his place and got changed. He then headed back down to Steve's apartment.

Steve was halfway through one box when Peter walked back into his place. Various pictures and other things were already placed in his bedroom and tried to arrange it so it looked nice. He had set out various things Claudia had given to him over the years onto different small tables and stands in his room, reminding him of home.

(Sorry I'm being so boring right now haha I swear I'll think of something more exciting in a bit)

(I have an idea for after they get finished unpacking.)

Peter looked around and simply stated, "nice" as he sauntered over to a box and popped it opened. He didn't know what to do with the things inside though. He didn't have to live here after all.

Steve looked at Peter’s confusion and walked over helping him out a bit, quickly placing things that he wanted in certain places where they should go. “Any thing else can just go where ever you want to put them. It doesn’t really matter.” He said, pointing the rest of the stuff in Peter’s box.

Okay

Peter nodded once and began placing things around the suite. After awhile he finished that box and moved to a thankfully easy one- kitchen stuff. He went to the kitchen and started putting things on the counter and in the cabinets. Steve could put them how he liked later.

(Hey sorry I don't know how often I'm gonna be on in the next few days... I have a family emergency that I don't know how long it'll last I'm really sorry though I'll try to get on though)

Steve finished placing his last thing up: His degree, which he placed on the left wall across from his bed. He took another look at his room, a sense of pride and accomplishment washing over him. He was proud of it really. He smiled once more and turned out of his room. He walked down the hallway, thinking about what he could place on those walls. He walked out to the living room and into the kitchen, seeing Peter place things into various cabinets. “I’m done, how about you?”

It's fine. Take as much time as you need. Is everything okay?

Peter nodded, putting the last of the kitchen things away as steve walked into the kitchen. "yep. Wanna go to my place for a celebratory drink?" he placed the now empty box on the counter.

Kinda... but not really. My dad died tonight from a heart failure type thing. Sooo I have no clue how the next few days are gonna pan out...

Steve nodded, grabbing the empty cardboard box off of the counter and threw it away, "Yeah that sounds cool to me." He said, grinning ear to ear. He still couldn't believe this place was his... it was still kind of sinking in.

Oh my god. I'm so sorry. If there's anything I can do for you let me know

Peter had a small smile on his face as he noticed that steve was still really happy about living here. "come on then." he walked out of Steve's new home and towards his own. Peter pushed the button for the elivator and sauntered inside when it opened. He held the door for steve.

Steve followed Peter out, closing the door behind him. He locked the door to his new place and hooked the key onto the key ring with the rest of his keys (Wow that was redundant). He then followed Peter into the elevator, watching the doors close slowly behind him. This was going to be awesome… It really was.

It still has to be horrible.

Peter went into the room between the elivator and his home.

The guard stopped him quickly. "mr. Vincent, theres a boy here who says he has a meeting with you today." pointed to a teenage boy

Peter looked over at the boy. "I don't think so. Talk to my guy." he said to the boy, starting to head for the door again.

"please, mr. Vincent, we had a meeting today. It's for the article... 'Separating Vampire Myths from Legends.'"

Peter smirked, "want a quote? Thats a shit idea for an article." he then sighed and motioned for him to come in. "fine. You have 10 minutes." peter looked over at steve. "this'll only take a second. Come on in both of you." peter went inside, unhappily.

The boy, named Charlie, followed him in.

Steve scratched the back of his head before he walked into Peter's suite, looking Charlie up and down. "It's fine. You don't have to worry about it." He said in Peter's direction as he walked towards Peter's kitchen, looking for a snack.

It's no problem. And I ment what I said earlier. If you need anything let me know

Peter motioned to charlie. "sit down. Sit." he, on the other hand, went to the kitchen and poured himself a drink. "it tastes like piss but I'm hooked." he explained to charlie when he looked surprised that peter was getting midori. "want one?" peter asked, then smirked as charlie shook his head. "maybe a Shirley temple?" charlie declined again. Peter shrugged and went back over, sitting down near charlie; he thought that steve would just get whatever he wanted from the kitchen. Peter and charlie began talking, charlie asking questions like "how do you kill a vampire?" at that question peter replied, "well... You got fire, beheading, you could make em a big garlicy omelet. Or you could go oldschool. Stake through the heart. BAM! Well... Maybe not the omelet..." however, as time went on charlie began getting odder. He started talking about how he though his neighbour was a vampire and taken his best friend. He even attempted to show peter pictures that he had taken; but peter refused to look at them. He wanted charlie out of his house. "get the f*** out of my house!" he yelled, but charlie didn't listen and continued to push peter to help him. Peter was getting more and more stressed and angry.

Steve dug through Peters cupboards and found a bag of chips in the back and grabbed them. He opened the with a pop and shoved one in his mouth, crunching them in his mouth. He raised an eybrow at the Charlie kid who was interviewing Peter. He was giving off a really weird vibe. Steve shrugged, ignoring it as he grabbed a midori. Suddenly, the kid started talking about how he thought his neighbor was a vampire and he walked over slowly, almost like a person would approach a hurt animal. "What the hell?" He was sure something like this was some kind of offense of the law, but he couldn't think straight. He wasn't at work so nothing was really coming to him.

Peter quickly retreated to the kitchen to pour himself another midori but Charlie followed him, straightening out the pictures and placing them on the counter. "please, you've got to believe me, man. I have proof."

Peter shook his head. "yeah, 'cause there SO many vampires here." he growled, hiding his worry with sarcasm.

"but it's brilliant. A bunch of people come through here and leave suddenly, do no one worries when whole families disappear!"

"GINGER!" was peter's only response. "Ginger!"

Hearing Peter's distress, Ginger hurried in.

"Get this looser out of my sight." peter told ginger, who surprisingly took charlie by the arm and pulled him out of the house. Peter filled up his glass and sulkingly went back to the chair he was in earlier. He was no longer in any mood to celebrate Steve's new place.
