Laurie nods. "That's awesome!"

Sam smiled, glad that she thought so because he thought the idea was cooler than his brother thought it was, “Yeah I think so too. It’s massive though. It’s got so many different rooms and there’s even a kitchen.” He said excited, ignoring the fact that having a kitchen shouldn’t excite people. But a kitchen and bedrooms was something normal people had. The Bunker was home.

Laurie looks confused. "Ok!" She said in mock excitment, anyway.

Steve nodded, “Yeah it would be. It’s not an easy task. You can’t really tell anyone… I really don’t do undercover work anymore though. It was really stressful and I thought I was going to get shot every two seconds.” he said, thinking about the time he had to act like he quit from the station and was going darkside. All of his friends hated him because he wasn't aloud to tell them.

"I couldn't imagion how hard being undercover would be. I don't think many people could handle it." Peter told him. He knew that he could never do it in a million years.

Sam smiled meakly, noticing Laurie's confusion, "Yeah sorry. Normal people aren't usually excited about that... My brother and I were raised on the road so we've lived in crappy motels all our lives, jumping from job to job. So we've never had things like a house or an apple pie lie you know?"

Steve shook his head, taking another drink of his second beer, "Yeah it was hard to handle. That's why I've only done a few jobs. You're not aloud to tell like anyone. All for one job I had to betray all my friends to drop out of the Police Force to try to join this other group of people and blah blah blah. It was really complicated and it sucked."

"I don't know how you handled it." peter said. "there is no way I could do it." there was not much of a chance that he could do much police work, let alone what steve had to do.

Steve looked sadly into his hands, "I really didn't. It was a surprise  that I even made it through that case..." His job had cost him a lot and he knew it. But there was some good in it sometimes. "There were times when I thought about actually quitting but I didn't."

"it's good that you didn't quit I guess. It would have sucked to do al that then quit halfway through or something." Peter responded before taking another drink.

Steve nodded, "yeah I guess that would have been counterproductive. It sucks though... Sometimes though I've wanted to do something different. Ya know?" He said looking back up at Peter.

Sam accepted her offer, "Yeah I might have to do that some day. I love the Bunker though, as you can tell. Its the first place I've actually gotten to call home..."

Sorry these aren't the greatest I'm really tired... and in the one before this one for sam it was supposed to be "apple pie life" not lie... idk why that happened

Peter nodded solemnly. "yeah, I get it. But if you did something else you'd probably just be saying the same thing."

Good because I read that again and I was like "that makes no sense if it was read like it was."

Steve stewed for a minute and shrugged, “Yeah probably… I couldn’t see myself doing anything else very well though…” He said, thinking of himself working at other places. “Like, I could never do an office job… it’s wayyy too boring.” His words began to slow down a little. He rubbed his eyes and yawned, trying to stay awake.

Sam was glad that she understood that, “So why are you taking care of those kids?” he asked, changing the subject. She had heard enough of him ramble on and on about the Bunker and his brother, he wanted to hear about her a little bit.

Sam shrugged, “Hmm that’s sounds pretty cool. I’ve never travelled out of the US before… I’ve wanted to but, I just don’t have the time. I was going to go travel with this girl named Jess but…” He trailed off and paused for a second, “But it didn’t work out…”

Sam shifted his eyes to his feet, not wanting to think about Jess, “Yeah…” he sighed, “I might someday. I don’t know if I’d be able to right now though. Maybe if I quit hunting someday I might. There’s always Demons to kill and monsters to hunt or the world needs saving…”

Sam shook his head, trying to forget, “Yeah that’s not very important right now though…” Sam and his brother had always felt the weight of the world on his shoulders and sometimes it was just too much. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, wiping the thoughts from his mind. “What’s important right now is when you want to begin.” He said, trying to cheer up.

Peter nodded. He agreed completely. "yeah. A desk job would never work with me either. I have to do something different everyday or so."
