Sam immediately felt awful, “Look, I’m sorry okay? I didn’t mean to seem like an asshole. It’s just…” He paused for a second and adjusted the strap to his duffel bag again, “I’m not comfortable talking about it. It’s something I’ve never been really proud of or wanted to even be a part of exactly.” Wow way to go he thought to himself.

Laurie nods. "It's fine. But if you want to talk, I'm here."

Sam smirked, “Thanks…” He said, a little surprised that she would want to talk. He wasn’t used to that. He looked down at his feet “It’s kind of like the ‘family business’ and all so I had no choice whether or not I wanted to actually hunt. I actually got out for a bit…” He said sadly. He looked up again, “But that didn’t work out so well. So now I’m here.”

Steve smiled, “Yeah I have a friend named Claudia who has a lot of stuff like this. She’s more on the steampunk side.” He said. When Peter asked if he was okay he nodded his head, “Yeah I’m fine.” he drew in a long breath and let it out slowly. He managed a small smile, “I’m just kind of tired that’s all.”

"we should get together sometime and compare notes." peter joked, although still concerned about Steve. "hey, why don't you sit down?" he asked, gesturing to the chairs in a circle around a firepit.

Sam started, still a little flustered “Well I hunt… you know. Stuff. Like Vampires, Demons, Monsters. Stuff.” He said the last part a fast. He let out a sigh of relief. At least that part was over. Gosh he was so terrible at this. If it didn't embarras him as much it would have been way easier.

Steve emptied his drink and walked over to one of the chairs and sat down. “Yeah maybe… you two would get along great.” He stared at his empty bottle of beer in his hands and got quiet. All of this also reminded of someone else: His older sister. It was always something he tried not to think about too much. He sat up a little bit and managed a weak smile, trying to forget. “She’s a genius though. She can hack into anything.”

Peter scoffed as he sat in another chair. "then we aren't as much alike as I thought." he didn't think he was very smart. He didn't act like he was most of the time, either. But peter did have his moments of intelligence. "can I get you anything else?" he asked, noticing steve had finished his drink. "maybe some water?"

Steve snapped back to reality, “Hm? Oh yeah I’ll take a glass a water that’ll be fine.” He said as he watched Peter sit down. “Believe me, you guys are a lot alike though. She may be smart but she’s not your typical genius. You know, all proper and the whole ‘I’m better than you’ attitude.”

Peter stood back up anf headed to the kitchen. Pouring a glass of water for Steve, he looked somewhat surprised. "oh really? That's hard to find. All the smart people I know think they're better than everyone, especially me." Peter walked back over and handed Steve the glass of water.

Steve watched as Peter got up and went to the kitchen and brought him back him the glass of water, “Thanks.” He said as he took it and took a drink and rested it in his lap, but kept a hold of it. “Yeah it is really rare to find someone like that. She’s into lots of rock bands and she knows how to play guitar REALLY well. Like it’s amazing what she can do with a guitar.”

Peter went back to his chair and sat down. He arched an eyebrow. "really? That's cool." he smiled a bit, then took another drink out of the bottle. He could have gotten a glass and ice while he was in the kitchen, but what's the point?

Steve nodded, “Give her any song that you want her to learn and she’ll learn it in an hour or so. She really likes this song called ‘Cherry Bomb’ by the Runaways that she likes to play. Right now she’s traveling with her older sister Claire to different places to play.”

Peter looked impressed. "wow. That's awesome. I wish I could just play the guitar, let along learn a song that quickly. Or the words for the show for that day."

Steve laughed, “Yeah I would love to have her talent sometimes. It’d be a lot more useful and less annoying then being able to tell when someone’s lying. She’s been sending me pictures and stuff from her trip and she’s been all over the place.” He said, taking another drink from his glass.

Sam raised his eyebrows and blinked. He had to check if he was hearing right, “Cool?” He really was not expecting that. Most of the time people thought he was crazy or would freak out because things like Demons existed in the world. “Um thanks I guess…”

"I don't know." peter said, "being able to tell when someone if lying is pretty useful." he wished that he had a talent. There was nothing special about him. At least thats what peter thought. Of course he had talent. Memorizing lines. He could fight somewhat. He also helped scholars when they need help because of all he had memorized most if not all of the information in the books and other things he had.

Sam thought about Dean for a second but then wiped the thought away, “Yeah actually I could.” He smiled, “I had one but we had a um… disagreement recently. Do you know anything about ‘hunting?’”

Steve smiled weakly, “Yeah you’d think it would be. But sometimes you don’t want to know. For example, going on a date is awful.” When Peter said he couldn’t do anything Steve scoffed, “Come on there’s got to be something. Everyone is good at something.”
